Guns have never killed anyone. They sit there and do nothing. Because they are inanimate objects.
The gun doesn’t hate anyone. The gun doesn’t have mental issues. The gun doesn’t have anger issues. The gun cannot plan events.
People do all of that. People are the problem. Society cannot be blamed. Guns cannot be blamed. Incidents like what happened in Colorado are to blame on evil people. Not society, not guns, not a movie.
And here’s the cold hard truth. Take guns away? Go ahead. Evil people like that will either still get a gun illegally, or they will find something else to use.
Guns won’t stop violence. Guns will NEVER stop violence. Violence is a human problem.
Uhm, sign me up. Even though I’m 22. I still want one.
Juan Williams said it was indoctrination.
Greg Gutfeld says it’s training.
I was shooting at 10. So guess who I agree with.
The owner of the gun range set it up to teach gun safety. And I think that’s important. Because guns don’t kill people. People kill people. Banning guns and acting like they’re an outrage against human rights won’t do anything. Education will. Because those who are properly educated about guns and shooting are a million times safer than the ones who were educated on the streets by other gang members and/or internet forums focusing on hating humanity and wanting to get rid of it.
Greg also says that it’s easy for people to talk about gun control when they are in buildings surrounded by security guards with guns to keep them safe.
Ryan Jerome, a 3rd generation Marine and current jeweler, visited NYC and brought his gun along. During this trip he was carrying $15,000 worth of gold for business. Prior to the trip he had done some research regarding gun laws in New York and believed it was ok for him to bring his gun along. Apparently though, New York does not recognize out of state gun licenses. Jerome went to visit the Empire State building. When buying his ticket outside, he informed the clerk that he had a gun and asked if he could check it with security or if he should store it in his hotel room before going inside the ESB. The clerk told him it was alright to check it with security so as soon as he entered the building, he went to security to check it. Minutes later he found himself in the basement being arrested by NYPD and was off to jail. He’s now facing up to 15 years in prison, minimum of 3 1/2 years.
Now the prosecutor on Judge Jeanine who is discussing this says it’s not a gun in the home used for protection or a gun that’s used for hunting. She says the purpose of a handgun is to be used as a weapon.
…………….Right. Because we don’t need protection in the outside world. Whoever came up with that is a class A idiot.
The prosecutor goes on to say that in NY, you can not have a loaded gun on the street. She says that as a responsible gun owner you should know the laws of the place you are visiting outside your state.
Now, I get all this and agree. But this is a Marine with a clean record who did research and believed in good faith that he was ok to do so. He was also responsible enough to let the building staff know and ask them what he should do before entering the building.
My problem with these kinds of gun laws:
These laws are intended to stop criminals from carrying weapons that they are not supposed to carry and therefore hinder violent crimes.
Guess what, reality check. The criminals are criminals. They obviously don’t give a rats ass what the law is and we see it time and time again where they carry guns anyway that they are not legally allowed to have. What happens is that the criminals still have guns and the laws aren’t stopping them and the responsible law-abiding citizens therefore don’t have guns and have nothing to protect themselves against the law-breaking criminals. Gun laws only hurt the responsible because the criminals don’t abide the law leaving the responsible unprotected.
I really hope the case against Mr. Jerome is dropped because it’s obvious there was no malicious intent and he was genuinely trying to be responsible.
