Conservative Perspective

I'm Katie and I'm a 23 year old college student. I'm extremely conservative and I'd call myself a Common Sense Conservative. I support the Tea Party but most importantly, I support the Constitution and the American Dream. I believe America is the greatest nation on earth and it's time for a minimally intrusive government that shows that it too believes America is the best nation.

“Libertarians” who post about voting for Obama…

I know at least one like that.

It’s about gay marriage. Apparently that is more important than all the other liberties that they stand for.

Which is interesting because the majority aren’t gay.

I know that is a current hot topic, but no one can get married if they’re broke and can’t even pay the court for the damn license.

But legalizing gay marriage won’t suddenly mean the government will smart up and then fix all the other government problems regarding their excessive and suffocating control they try to put us under.

For me, this election is just about the economy. Yea, there are social issues that I care about which would cause me not to vote for Obama, but the #1 reason I’m not voting for him is because of how far he has dug us into the ground. So while I’m against abortion and drugs and gay marriage and legal marriages in general, I don’t care about that this year (well I always will but you get the point). This year I care about the economy. I also care about illegal immigration. But that’s because of the economic effects it has on the nation.
