“To be nationalized, you have to learn English.” Except for those given amnesty… or am I wrong? And anyway I here really bad things about those English tests being ridiculously lax. & Amnesty happened like 4 times or was it more?

Usually people who come to us for amnesty want to learn English. Because our country is better than the one they came from, obviously.

Plus, that’s just amnesty. Amnesty is not equal to citizenship.

And amnesty is given a lot.

There have been like 20 episodes in the Law and Order franchise where people get amnesty.

Ok, jk bout the Law and Order part. There’s just an SVU episode I really like where this lady from the Congo was brutalized and came here for amnesty and Alexandra Cabot left SVU for like the second time to become so advocate for cases like that.
