During the 9/11 search and rescue and recovery, two beams that were found were connected in the form of a cross. It became a symbol of hope (just like the flag that stood in the rubble) for the rescuers.

It is now on display in the 9/11 memorial with other artifacts.

Buuuuut…….one of those a-hole atheist groups has decided that they want it down and they are suing to have it taken down.

This “American Atheists” group says it’s causing them mental and emotional anguish………….

And that if God was real, He would have prevented the Muslims from becoming terrorists and acting out attacks that killed 3000 people.

First of all, before they bitch about God and the religions surrounding Him, they should know that humans have free will and can take different routes with their behavior. My dad explained this to me when I was having a fit over how God could allow Hitler to do what he did.

Just like people have to learn that Muslims are not responsible for 9/11 and are not terrorists. That it was a delusional group of evil idiots who used their religion to justify their evil acts.

That cross is not a religious symbol. It was not put there as a representation of Christianity. It was put there as an artifact that offered hope to those heroes.

Also, atheists should just go off to their own island. Because there are millions of cross shaped things in this country. Like on a four way intersection sign.

Oh, and they can stop using money. Because it’s pretty hypocritical to use a currency to sue over a cross when said currency says “In God we trust.”

If you’re suffering emotional anguish because of a fucking t-bar, Christian or not, you’re either extremely insecure or spiteful.

If you try to lobby, sue, extort, whatthefuckever to have it removed just because “you don’t like it” you have zero self-respect.

Period.

This is just like that fuckshit at the school, but worse.

They are not even killjoys; they’re spiteful assholes.

PS: God doesn’t just go in and prevent everything bad from happening. Nobody learns anything by being cradled like a fucking baby.

Word. The rest of us deal with stuff we don’t like. I’m not going to say it gives me emotional and mental anguish to see Obama ads (although it does make me mad) but just because it irritates me and offends me doesn’t mean I’m going to sue the Obama campaign to have it removed.

And no one seems to be suing the Westboro Baptist church. Maybe the atheists should go sue them for protesting at military funerals of the troops who defend the atheists ability to be assholes and sue everyone.
