Yarn bombing.

Graffiti but with yarn.

There is nothing left in this world to ever surprise me. I now have heard it all.

And just because it’s yarn doesn’t make it any less illegal. All it does is make the person doing it look even more like a douche.

I think this is an exceptional example of what is wrong with our modern society. Not only have we gone to be lucky enough to have yarn to make ourselves clothes to stay warm during brutal winter months, but now we have so much yarn and so much free time that we can use yarn to cover trees and shit. If you’re going to knit, then knit. Because it’s incredibly unproductive to waste it all on a tree cozy. So make a blanket for a homeless man instead.

And the fact that people actually have time for this bothers me. Of all the things you can do with your time and knitting skills, you chose this?

I’m surprised the OWS people have jumped on this bandwagon to crazy town. Ok, I’m not actually surprised. Yarn bombing isn’t violent enough for them. Plus then it would be showing they have skills and can sit down and do something.
