Conservative Perspective

I'm Katie and I'm a 23 year old college student. I'm extremely conservative and I'd call myself a Common Sense Conservative. I support the Tea Party but most importantly, I support the Constitution and the American Dream. I believe America is the greatest nation on earth and it's time for a minimally intrusive government that shows that it too believes America is the best nation.

Q: Hello, just reading your Birth Control post and I was wondering, where do you get the idea that it's the tax payers who will be paying for the birth Control of others? It is the insurance companies that pay it. And before you say that the insurance companies shouldn't give things out for free, you are wrong there too. The way insurance works is you pay the insurance companies, that's how they make money, so in turn they wouldn't be giving it out for free. And I say to you, you're a trolololo.

I don’t think you understand how insurance works.

Yea, you pay insurance a fee. But a lot of times, what you pay them doesn’t add up to what they provide for you.

And if your EMPLOYER pays for your insurance, and THEY have to provide birth control to you at no cost, then THEY are paying for it and YOU are paying NOTHING.

So, it is free for you. Which is stupid.

I have insurance, but I don’t get my birth control for free. It went up to $138 and insurance only pays for $18 of it. Which means I have to pay for $120 of it.

And my dad works for a Danish shipping company and not the Catholic Church.

So why should someone who willingly goes to a Catholic institution get their birth control for free?

It doesn’t make sense.

Btw, insurance is supposed to be a safety net. That’s why insurance companies are pissed off with Obamacare. They’re basically now giving stuff away because the government is forcing them to.
